Abstract

Three inscribed bronze fragments show characteristics which are common for big bronze tabulae, on which leges municipales known especially from southern Spain are engraved. Since on one of the fragments the words colonia and Ratiaria are written it seems very likely that the fragments belong to the lex coloniae of Ratiaria. The colonia Ulpia Traiana Ratiaria was founded by Trajan after the conquest of Dacia.
