Abstract

A concept for an optimized basic psychosomatic care is presented, which evolved from the everyday practice of medicine. It combines experience gained in the lifelong effort in order to realize biopsychosocial medicine in private practice as consistently as possible. It includes both theoretical and practical aspects. The background is formed by 35 years of experience as a general practitioner and psychotherapist, with 20 years of teaching experience at the University of Cologne. On one side, the conversation is based on the linguistic concept of transcription, which has a linguistic basis, and thus guarantees sufficient distance from analytical, behavioral-therapeutic and systemic influences, without having to call into question their effectiveness. On the other side, an organization form and structure is offered in the form of different settings in which the acquired knowledge can be implemented, even under the time constraints of practicing doctors. Third, this approach involves a teaching and learning method that has been tried for more than 10 years. Students can experience this optimized form of basic psychosomatic care live in the practice rooms of the working doctors by means of video conferencing technology, and interactively participate in the conversation. A practical case study from the -videoconference with students explains the -context.
