Abstract

The present paper aims to analyze one of the most important works of nineteenth century Spanish literature. It also attempts to capture and explain all components and elements which, according to the author, create the Spanish nation and, at the same time, define the Spanish spirit and the future, fall and pain of that nation in this historical moment?
