The article deals with the Christian understanding of salvation as a problem of interreligious dialogue from a comparative-theological perspective. The concept of salvation is redefined within the framework of the human question for meaning and developed as the event of God's responding to humans in the history of Jesus Christ. Thus, the central understanding of revelation opens new perspectives for the dialogue with Jews and Muslims. Finally, the paper argues for a specific functionality of the theological insights for the reflection of salvation in the context of interreligious education.
