    AbstractLanguage
    The paper shows the overlapping of diplomatic and archival descriptions of charters and the mutual benefits archives and research can have by sharing their information in a common internet platform. It presents the well established information technologies „database management system“ and „versioning“ which are the basis for wiki like collaborative description platforms. The need of the actors to control the quality of the data associated with them and to make personal or institutional afford visible stands in contrast to the encouragement of open wiki systems. The paper proposes as solution a concept of a collaborative charter database that enables the presentation of collections of versions attributed to academic and archival institutions or individuals. The solution is in development with the Monasterium Collaborative Archives (MOM-CA) software.English
