The author explores how members of the Moroccan Sufi brotherhoods of the Iswaand Hamada shape their activities and transnational networks through the use of technical media. Trying to think beyond notions of the local, regional and transnational, the article focuses on the mediators and practices by which actors understand the scope of their actions and redefine their agency at different locales through scaling'. More particularly, he explores how actors engage in downscaling' complex issues into ritual procedures, and in upscaling' these procedures by inscribing them into a media chain and a more encompassing network of people, signs and things. Resume L'auteur etudie la maniere dont les membres des confreries Sufi Iswa and Hamada au Maroc construisent leurs activites et les reseaux transnationaux a travers l'usage des medias. En cherchant a depasser les concepts de local, regional et transnational, il se concentre sur les mediateurs et sur les pratiques par l'entremise desquelles les acteurs comprennent la portee de leurs actions et redefinissent leur agenceite sur differents espaces par << echelonnement >>. Il etudie plus particulierement les changements d'echelle des ceremonies rituelles que les acteurs inscrivent dans une chaine de medias et un reseau plus large de personnes, de signes et de choses.
