Abstract

Im Zentrum der Studie steht die Analyse anderer Gebrauchsweisen von Technik in Literatur, Film und Kunst im Argentinien der Gegenwart. Die zentrale These lautet, dass technische Artefakte im Rahmen ästhetischer Entwürfe ein gemeinschaftsstiftendes Potenzial entfalten, dass sie sich mit den Menschen verbinden und zu Medien sozialer Kollektive werden. Im Theorieteil wird dieses soziale Potential insbesondere in Bezug auf die Philosophie der »Maschine« von Gilles Deleuze und Félix Guattari reflektiert. Beide verstehen unter Maschinen keine technischen Gerätschaften, sondern Vernetzungen von Menschen und Dingen, eben andere Maschinen. Mit dem im Rahmen der Arbeit in Anlehnung an Michel Foucaults Begriff der »Heterotopie« neu entworfenen Konzept der ›Heteromáquinas‹ werden solche anderen Maschinen in der argentinischen Literatur und visuellen Kultur bezeichnet und anhand ausgewählter Werke beleuchtet. Im Einzelnen zur Sprache kommen dabei Arbeiten von César Aira, Jorge Gaggero, Julio Cortázar&Carol Dunlop, Elvio Gandolfo und Jorge Macchi.

Este estudio analiza las manifestaciones de otros usos de la técnica en la literatura, el filme y el arte contemporáneos de Argentina. La tesis central afirma que en un contexto estético los artefactos técnicos despliegan un potencial social comunitario y se conectan con las personas induciendo así la formación de colectivos sociales. En la parte teórica del trabajo, se describe dicho potencial principalmente mediante la filosofía de la »máquina« de Gilles Deleuze y Félix Guattari. Con este término, los autores franceses no aluden a instrumentos técnicos, sino a las conexiones entre personas y objetos, es decir, a otras máquinas. Con el neologismo de ›heteromáquinas‹ que se crea en esta tesis inspirado en el concepto de »heterotopía« de Michel Foucault, se hace referencia a esas otras máquinas en obras de la literatura y el arte visual argentinos. En concreto, se analizan obras de César Aira, Jorge Gaggero, Julio Cortázar&Carol Dunlop, Elvio Gandolfo y Jorge Macchi.

This dissertation focuses on other ways of using technical objects in contemporary Argentine literature, film and art. The main thesis states that technical artefacts develop greater potential for an increased sense of community in the context of aesthetic concepts. Furthermore, these artefacts connect with the humans and thus turn into media of social collectives. The theoretical section provides a reflection of this social potential in relation to the philosophy of the »machine« as represented by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari. Both thinkers understand »machines« as interconnections between humans and things rather than mere technical devices. In the concept developed in this study, the neologism ›heteromáquinas‹ – inspired by Michel Foucault's term »heterotopia« – refers to such other machines in Argentine literature and visual culture. These interpretations are illustrated by the analysis of selected works, namely the works of César Aira, Jorge Gaggero, Julio Cortázar&Carol Dunlop, Elvio Gandolfo and Jorge Macchi.
