Abstract

This thesis contributes towards our understanding of economic behavior and decision making, focusing on populations from the South Asian subcontinent. It uses economic experiments in the field, in addition to in-person and online surveys. The findings of this thesis hold significance for decision making for health (Chapter 1 and 2) and family (Chapter 3 and 4).
