Abstract

Even if most of our actual thinking appears to us in the form of our mother tongue, the level of language is neither the only nor the basic level of our thinking. In this paper I will argue that there is a deeper level of thinking that we also use, which is usually only expressed by means of language. The basic way of thinking is non-linguistic and it can be established by a careful analysis of the vivid life of our phantasy activity in thinking about relevant problems.
