Abstract

Primary lymphoma of the central nervous system is a distinct diffuse large B-cell lymphoma confined to the nervous system. Whereas classical cases can be classified easily, differential diagnosis can be a challenge in particular in patients who had received treatment prior to biopsy. In the differential diagnosis, other tumours and inflammatory diseases of autoimmune and infectious aetiology need to be considered. Copyright (C) 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
