Abstract

Glomerular Filtration and Albuminuria Chronic kidney diseases generally arise from a disordered kidney filtration barrier within glomeruli. This review describes the roles of glomerular capillary pressure, the glomerular basement membrane, and podocytes in regulating glomerular filtration and permeability.
