Abstract

There are relevant gender differences between men and women in cardiac arrhythmias. These differences range from cellular electrophysiology and different symptoms to access and success of arrhythmia therapies. Women are often underrepresented in randomised trails. Because of the increasing awareness of these gender differences a consensus document, created by the EHRA (European Heart Rhythm Association), was published.
