Abstract

Cardiac Arrest Centers (CAC) are certified hospitals that specialize in the treatment of patients after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Audits have been taking place in Germany since the end of 2018. With the goal of a nationwide, area-wide expansion, the 100th hospital has now been certified as a CAC. The special importance of CAC is also emphasized in the new international resuscitation guidelines 2021 in the newly developed chapter Systems saving lives.
