Abstract

Standardization of the COGBAT Test Battery in Adolescents Aged 12 to 15 Years Abstract: Adolescence represents an important phase in the development of cognitive functions. In this standardization study of the neuropsychological test battery Cognitive Basis Assessment (COGBAT), we compared the scores of N = 269 healthy adolescents between 12 and 15 years with existing standardized scores of individuals between 16 and 30 years. We then examined the associations between COGBAT scores and the Subjective Performance Assessment Questionnaire (FLei) and the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ). Adolescents demonstrated a strong improvement in reaction and processing speed as well as inhibition and planning abilities. There was weak evidence of gender differences for the cognitive domains studied, with females showing slightly better inhibition than males. We found no specific associations between COGBAT and FLei, or COGBAT and SDQ.
