Abstract

This Leaf introduces the Cologne UNESCO-MOST BRIDGES Thematic Hub for Planetary Wellbeing, anchored at the University of Cologne by MESH and the Global South Studies Center. The Hub advances humanities-driven, transdisciplinary sustainability science focused on multispecies wellbeing, ecological flourishing, climate adaptation, biodiversity conservation, and North–South–South collaboration. It connects concepts, methodologies, and policies across environmental humanities, One Health, intergenerational justice, arts, spirituality, foresight, local and Indigenous knowledges, and more-than-human conviviality. The Leaf outlines UNESCO-MOST BRIDGES’ global objectives, the Cologne Hub’s institutional structure, affiliated projects, Policy Insights, funding support, and the BRIDGES Recognition Programme for sustainability initiatives.
