Abstract

In this doctoral thesis we investigate different incentive problems in employer-employee-relationships. We focus on the examination of different compensation schemes, the impact of transparency of individual outputs in team production, and the role of honesty in the provision of performance feedback. We approach each of the problems by analyzing a mathematical model from which we derive hypotheses on actual human behavior. Then we test the validity of these hypotheses in economic experiments.

In der Dissertation werden unterschiedliche Anreizprobleme in Arbeitsverhältnissen untersucht. Dabei liegt der Schwerpunkt der Arbeit auf der Analyse von Vergütungschemata, der Auswirkungen von transparenten Arbeitsergebnissen in der Teamproduktion und der Rolle von Ehrlichkeit bei der Weitergabe von Performance-Feedback. Jedes Problem wird anhand eines mathematischen Modells analysiert. Die daraus abgeleiteten Verhaltenshypothesen werden dann in ökonomischen Experimenten auf ihre Gültigkeit hin überprüft.
