Abstract
In this doctoral thesis we investigate different incentive problems in employer-employee-relationships. We focus on the examination of different compensation schemes, the impact of transparency of individual outputs in team production, and the role of honesty in the provision of performance feedback. We approach each of the problems by analyzing a mathematical model from which we derive hypotheses on actual human behavior. Then we test the validity of these hypotheses in economic experiments.
